The road

An OpenStreetMap drive between the Wikipedia coordinates, checked on 30 Oct 2026, was 507.2 km and 5 hours 42 minutes. It used about 327 km of the M-2 and 151 km of the M-1, then a short piece of the Grand Trunk Road in Peshawar. Wikipedia lists the M-2 as 375 km and the M-1, Islamabad–Peshawar, as 155 km, with 88 km in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 67 km in Punjab. The M-1’s east end is Islamabad–Rawalpindi, which is why the Islamabad and Rawalpindi pages are the first half of this trip.

Tolls

Two published car tolls sit on this corridor, and this page does not add them into one figure. Dawn, 6 July 2026: the full M-2 Lahore–Islamabad car toll is PKR 1,430 through 23 April 2027. ProPakistani, 10 July 2026, reporting the NHA notice: the M-1 Islamabad–Peshawar car toll is PKR 700. Confirm what is charged if an exit is not the end of either motorway. Tolls are extra.

Rest stops

Use the M-2 service areas Wikipedia names: Sukheki, Sial, Bhera, Kallar Kahar and Chakri. Kallar Kahar is the long-stop in the Salt Range, before the M-1 begins. This page does not name an M-1 service area.

The fare

The fare is quoted on WhatsApp. One-way and multi-day fares are quoted on WhatsApp. The driver is included. Petrol and tolls are extra.

Own fleet, first

The Fortuner 2026 is the working car for the two motorways. The Land Cruiser leads the fleet when Peshawar is a formal arrival. The order on this page is Land Cruiser (LC-300 look), Fortuner 2026, JAC T9, Prado, then Yaris. Every car comes with a driver. Self-drive is not offered.
