Lahore to Swat, with a driver

The road

Mingora is the capital of Swat District, on the Swat River. An OpenStreetMap drive to Mingora’s Wikipedia coordinates, checked on 30 Oct 2026, was 562.1 km and 6 hours 32 minutes. It used the M-2, about 90 km of the M-1, about 81 km of the Swat Motorway (M-16), and about 16 km of Mingora Road, the N-95. Wikipedia says phase one of the M-16, completed in 2019, connects the M-1 at Nowshera to Chakdara. The Peshawar page stays on the M-1 instead of turning onto the M-16. Tolls

The published M-2 car toll of PKR 1,430 is the full Lahore–Islamabad trip (Dawn, 5 July 2026 to 23 April 2027). The published M-1 car toll of PKR 700 is Islamabad–Peshawar (NHA notice of 10 July 2026, reported by ProPakistani). This route leaves the M-1 for the Swat Motorway, so neither end-to-end figure is printed here as the Swat toll. The M-16 is not in that 10 July list. No Swat Motorway toll is stated on this page. Confirm the tolls on WhatsApp. They are extra.

Rest stops

Take the break on the M-2, at the Kallar Kahar service area Wikipedia and the NHA notice both identify, before the M-1 and the Swat Motorway. After Chakdara the N-95 into Mingora is short, and this page does not name a service area on it.
